As we approach the Spring season, Pokémon Go players are in for a frosty surprise with the upcoming Community Day event on April 27th. From 2:00 to 5:00 pm local time, Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokémon, will be appearing more frequently in the wild. This is your chance to encounter and catch this chilly Pokémon, and if luck is on your side, you might even spot its Shiny variant.

The excitement doesn't end with just catching Vanillite. Evolve it into Vanilluxe during the event or up to May 4th, and it will learn the powerful Charged Attack, Avalanche. This move boasts 90 power in Trainer Battles and 85 power in Gyms and Raids, making it a valuable asset to your battle lineup.

For those looking to dive deeper into the frosty fun, a Community Day Special Research ticket is available for just $2. By completing the tasks, you'll encounter Vanillite with a special Might and Mastery-themed background, enjoy additional Vanillite encounters, receive a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and more.

There's also a Timed Research opportunity extending through the following week, giving you another chance to catch a Vanillite with the exclusive event background. Additionally, Field Research tasks themed around the event will reward you with Stardust, Great Balls, and more encounters with Vanillite. Keep an eye out for tasks that could lead to a Vanillite with a special event background.

Throughout the event, several bonuses will be in effect to enhance your gameplay. You'll earn triple XP for catches, double Candy for each Pokémon caught, and Trainers level 31 and above will have double the odds of receiving Candy XL.
