As the Capcom Pro Tour takes a brief intermission, the stage is set for Capcom Cup 11, where all 48 participants have been confirmed. Rather than focusing on the top players from around the globe, let's delve into the characters they've chosen to master in Street Fighter 6. The World Warrior circuit has concluded, and EventHubs has provided us with a comprehensive analysis of the most popular characters at the highest level of play, offering a clear snapshot of the current game balance.
Remarkably, all 24 characters in the game are represented among the elite players. Despite the large pool of almost two hundred players, which included the eight finalists from 24 regions, only one player opted to main Ryu. Even Terry Bogard, the newest addition to the roster, was selected by two players, showcasing the diversity in character selection.
At the forefront of the professional scene, Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison stand out as the most popular choices, each being the main character for 17 players. Following them, there's a noticeable gap before the next tier, which includes Akuma with 12 players, Ed and Luke with 11 players each, and JP and Chun-Li, both chosen by 10 players. Among the less favored characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri still managed to be the main pick for seven players each.
