George Miller, my favorite director, is the brilliant mind behind two of my all-time favorite movie franchises: Mad Max and Happy Feet. Yes, there was a Happy Feet sequel, and I encourage you to delve deeper into it. I tend to get a bit carried away with the Happy Feet series, but let's focus on the iconic Mad Max saga.
The Mad Max films masterfully blend the raw energy of early '80s action with a surreal vision of post-apocalyptic Australia. After releasing three movies between 1979 and 1985, it appeared that the franchise would remain a trilogy, a relic of its time. However, following his detour with Happy Feet, Miller returned to his roots with the franchise that launched his career.
With Tom Hardy stepping into the role previously played by Mel Gibson, Mad Max: Fury Road hit theaters in 2015 (not 2016, as previously mentioned) and was met with critical acclaim, securing six Academy Awards. While the latest installment, Furiosa, may not have replicated the box office success of Fury Road, I firmly believe that Mad Max remains one of the greatest action franchises ever.
As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fury Road, I highly recommend embarking on a Mad Max marathon. Here are your options for streaming all the Mad Max movies online:

How to Watch the Mad Max Movies in Order
If you want to watch the Mad Max movies chronologically, you can follow the release order of the original trilogy and then switch Furiosa and Fury Road:
- Mad Max
- Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
- Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
- Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
- Mad Max: Fury Road
However, I believe Furiosa is best enjoyed as the final movie in your marathon. Like many great prequels, some of Furiosa's most powerful moments build on your knowledge of the characters from Fury Road.
Future Mad Max Movies
George Miller has hinted that the future of the Mad Max franchise hinges on the performance of Furiosa. Although the prequel didn't set the box office on fire, Miller's comments suggest he has more stories to tell in the Mad Max universe.
This possibility was further supported when Deadline reported that Miller "has a script" for another Mad Max movie, potentially referring to The Wasteland, a rumored sequel to Fury Road. Despite this, Miller is juggling other projects, and another Mad Max film would likely require a significant investment from studios. While I hope it happens, it may not be anytime soon.
