While Split Fiction boasts a linear co-op adventure, it's peppered with delightful detours: Side Stories. Though optional, these offer some of the game's most memorable moments—think pig transformations and deadly game show appearances! This guide helps you uncover all 12, hidden across Chapters 2 through 5. Completing them unlocks the "Bookworms" achievement.

How to Find All Side Stories in Split Fiction

Twelve Side Stories are scattered throughout Chapters 2-5 (three per chapter). Here's a breakdown of their locations:

Chapter 2

• Legend of the Sandfish: Found naturally after completing the "Rush Hour" section; impossible to miss.
• Farmlife: Located in the "Streets of Neon" section, after hopping a small barrier, before the left elevators.
• Mountain Hike: In "Big City Life," near the Port-A-Potties. Have Mio enter a Port-A-Potty, then use Zoe to toss her to the opposite ledge with a ladder. Have Mio drop the ladder for access.

Chapter 3

• Train Heist: Found in "Lord Evergreen," on a ledge reachable via wall-running, while navigating the water with a plank.
• Gameshow: Located in "Walking Sticks of Doom," on a platform after a side-scrolling section; requires minor platforming.
• Collapsing Star: In "Halls of Ice," on the main path through the palace; hard to miss.

Chapter 4

• Kites: Found at the end of the long tube in "Toxic Tumblers."
• Moon Market: In "Test Chamber," on a left-hand ledge after the crane sequence; requires some platforming.
• Notebook: The final Chapter 4 Side Story, found in "Soaring Desperados." After obtaining the jetpack, hover to the left side of the room, avoiding the giant wheel.

Chapter 5

• Slopes of War: In "Water Temple," after hatching dragons. Solve the lever puzzle to the left of the golden balls.
• Space Escape: In "Craft Temple," after defeating the dragon. Launch Mio to a ledge using her glide and Zoe's roll; Mio then drops a column for Zoe to climb.
• Birthday Cake: In "Treasure Temple," after completing the soul puzzle; located to your left.

Completing all 12 Side Stories automatically unlocks the Bookworms achievement.
