Stellar Blade, initially met with some minor controversy regarding its character design, quickly became a critical and commercial triumph on the PS5. Its average score of 82 on OpenCritic, coupled with numerous awards and nominations, underscores its popularity. The game's fast-paced combat, striking visuals, and compelling soundtrack have garnered widespread praise, even prompting a controversial comparison to Nier: Automata by its creator, Yoko Taro – a claim subsequently refuted by Stellar Blade's director.
