These resources are readily available, making Preserves Jars an excellent choice for quickly producing large quantities of artisan goods. Wood comes from chopping trees, stone from breaking rocks, and coal is most efficiently obtained by defeating dust sprites in the Mines.
Beyond crafting, you'll receive a Preserves Jar for completing the Quality Crops Bundle (or Rare Crops Bundle in the remixed version) in the Community Center. They may also appear as a Prize Machine reward in Mayor Lewis' house.

Preserves Jars vs. Kegs
Preserves Jars and Kegs are both used for artisan goods, but their profitability differs. Preserves Jars are most efficient for fruits under 50g and vegetables/forage under 160g. They also process much faster than Kegs. High-yield, low-value crops like eggplants, wild berries, corn, and tomatoes are ideal candidates. Preserves Jars are also essential for processing fish roe, maximizing your fishing investment, and are the only way to increase the value of mushrooms.
