Sony has officially announced a State of Play showcase scheduled for June 4.
In a PlayStation Blog update, Sony Interactive Entertainment's content communications manager Tim Turi revealed viewers can expect "exciting news and updates about upcoming PS5 titles." Turi added, "This presentation will spotlight exceptional games from talented developers worldwide."
The 40-minute showcase kicks off on June 4 at 2pm Pacific Time / 5pm Eastern Time / 11pm Central European Summer Time.
While details remain scarce, industry speculation suggests we'll likely see more of Sucker Punch's PS5-exclusive sequel Ghost of Yotei, set for release this October.
The event may also feature updates on Insomniac's Wolverine project and upcoming titles from Sony's first-party studios, including Santa Monica Studio (God of War), Bend Studio (Days Gone), and Guerrilla Games' Horizon multiplayer spin-off.
Bungie's Marathon remains in development, though its showcase presence remains uncertain following recent plagiarism allegations. Fairgames continues development without Jade Raymond's leadership, while Sony's newly formed teamLFG recently teased its live-service incubation project.
The presentation may also highlight third-party collaborations like Phantom Blade Zero.
