Silksong Developer Reaffirms Release For Switch 1

Following Silksong's brief appearance at the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, fans speculated that the game might skip the current generation and head straight to the next. Originally announced in 2019 for PC and Switch 1, and later confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox, the game's future on the original Switch was in question. However, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, Matthew Griffin, took to Twitter (X) on April 8 to clarify these concerns. Griffin reassured fans that Silksong will indeed be released on both the original Switch and the upcoming Switch 2.

While specifics on how these versions will differ remain under wraps, players can anticipate that the game will benefit from higher resolutions and enhanced features on the Switch 2.
