A haunting new trailer from today's Sony State of Play revealed that the chilling horrors of Silent Hill f are nearly upon us: the game launches on September 25, 2025.
A deeply unsettling new trailer offered a longer, darker glimpse of what awaits in Silent Hill f. We see protagonist Hinako Shimizu and her friends in Ebisugaoka living ordinary, peaceful lives just before a mysterious fog descends upon the town, twisting reality into something unrecognizable.
Sinister crimson flowers bloom. Grotesque, jerky dolls pursue Hinako, attempting to tear her apart. Her friends appear to be faring no better. The trailer showcases gruesome violence, paranormal phenomena, and Hinako's surprising proficiency with a crowbar.
First announced in 2022, Silent Hill f is set in 1960s Japan and seeks to juxtapose horror with beauty through a story penned by acclaimed writer Ryukishi07. We now know it's a standalone entry in the series and Japan's first M-rated Silent Hill title, featuring truly disturbing content including impalement, facial mutilation, a character burned alive in a cage, entrails served on platters, and more. Truly harrowing!
