As summer continues, you might find yourself indoors working, gazing outside at the sunshine and dreaming of being out there. Well, as evening falls, you can enjoy the next best thing: Shin Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation has arrived on mobile through the Crunchyroll Game Vault!

True to Crunchyroll's style, this release brings another beloved anime experience to life, drawing from the popular all-ages series Crayon Shin Chan. However, its roots go even deeper, echoing the nostalgic Japanese gaming classics with their rustic settings and relaxing vacation atmosphere.

Step into the shoes of Shinnosuke Nohara, the mischievous Shin Chan himself, for a delightfully quirky summer adventure. Whether you're fishing by the creek, exploring the town, or engaging in Pokémon-style dinosaur battles (yes, really), there’s an abundance of activities to enjoy. The game beautifully captures the timeless magic of a carefree childhood summer.

Creative Inspiration

Shin Chan: Summer Vacation (as it appears in the app store) draws inspiration from the classic Boku no Natsuyasumi, which translates to "My Summer Vacation." This iconic PlayStation 1 title transported players back to 1975, where everyday delights like catching insects became the heart of the experience.

While thrilling action games like Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania captivated audiences, Boku no Natsuyasumi stood out as a genuinely cozy and relaxed adventure. Similarly, Shin Chan: Summer Vacation embraces this laid-back spirit while adding a dash of imaginative fun. And now, it’s perfectly portable—ready to play on your favorite mobile device!
