New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell showcased the revamped Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. While the chassis retains a similar design to the 2024 R16 model, it features aesthetic and cooling improvements alongside updated components. The I/O panel has been relocated to the top of the case, and the tempered glass window now covers the entire side panel, removing the need for side panel vents. Air intakes are now strategically placed at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that reduces dust accumulation inside. The interior components have been upgraded with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and GPUs.
The RTX 5090 Is the Most Powerful Graphics Card Ever
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 stands as the most formidable consumer GPU currently available. Despite Nvidia's focus on software enhancements, AI features, and DLSS 4 technology to boost gameplay, the RTX 5090 offers a significant 25%-30% performance increase over the RTX 4090 in terms of raw raster performance. Additionally, it features more (32GB vs 24GB) and faster (GDDR7 vs GDDR6) VRAM. Due to high demand, the RTX 5090 is challenging to find at retail price and often sells for between $3,500 and $4,000 on platforms like eBay.
