To manage expectations and clarify the situation, Santa Monica Studio issued an official statement:
"Pantheons collide! We’re thrilled to present a lineup of Greek and Norse characters for this panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of God of War where we’ll reflect on the past two decades of the series. Instead of new game announcements, fans were delighted with the release of new thematic artwork featuring Kratos alongside Jörmungandr. The event, set for March 22, will also include appearances by beloved actors from the God of War series.
