If you've been eagerly awaiting the Hong Kong cinema-inspired "Showdown in Chinatown" update for Reverse: 1999, your wait is over! Version 2.5, part one, is now live and brings a host of exciting new content, including both limited and five-star characters.
In "Showdown in Chinatown," the notorious arcanist criminal Nightpiercer resurfaces in Los Angeles. Officer Liang Yue, assigned by the Vigiles Bureau, teams up with the Division of Arcane Affairs to take Nightpiercer down once and for all.
Liang Yue is now available through the limited-time "Moonbeam Guardian" Dushuo Limited Banner. Alongside Liang Yue, a free garment for the beloved character Windsong is up for grabs for all players. With 40x free pulls available through various rewards and events, you'll have plenty of chances to add these top-tier characters to your roster.
Additionally, dive into two new challenges: "When the Alarm Sounds" and the board game-themed "Critter Crash," both available until the 29th. These challenges offer special rewards, including Limited Portraits and a new garment.
The traditional Chinese-style dress that Liang Yue wears is inspiring a new garment series called "Old Stories New Perspectives." This series will be available for characters like Jiu Niangzi, Tuesday, Sotheby, The Fool, and Windsong, allowing you to refresh their looks with a touch of cultural flair.
Keep an eye out for the new limited building where you can collect Red Envelopes through tasks and minigames. These can be swapped for a variety of rewards, from 5-star insight coupons and portraits to growth materials.
