Puzzle & Dragons 0 Debuts on Android with Root Tree Feature

Puzzle & Dragons 0 has launched, offering a fresh take on the classic orb-matching and monster-battling formula. GungHo Entertainment, creators of the original mobile hit, brings this reimagined puzzle-RPG hybrid to players worldwide.

What's New in Puzzle & Dragons 0?

The original 2012 mobile version established the simple yet engaging orb-matching mechanic that remains at the heart of Puzzle & Dragons 0.

Players still match three or more colored orbs to trigger attacks from their creatures. More powerful combos deal greater damage, with skilled players able to execute devastating chains that eliminate foes in one turn. See the latest Puzzle & Dragons action in this month's showcase below.

The latest version introduces greater flexibility - players can choose between vertical and horizontal screen orientations. Team building also takes center stage with expanded customization options.

A new Root Tree system allows players to evolve units along different paths to suit their playstyle. After leveling up their squad, players can create optimized teams by combining their best-fitting monsters.

Keeping the Core Experience

Like its predecessor, the game lets players collect dungeon materials to craft creatures from scratch using Crystals and Mana earned in battle. The focus remains on strategic monster development rather than simple collection.

Puzzle & Dragons 0 is available as a free-to-play title with optional in-app purchases. The game launched globally today across 150+ countries with 11 language options. Download it now from the Google Play Store.
