Bond Origin Game "007" Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

The GoldenEye era rises again—IO Interactive confirms their upcoming James Bond title is coming to Nintendo Switch 2.

IO Interactive's official website reveals Project 007 will introduce a completely original narrative in the Bond universe.

"Players will embody the world's most legendary secret agent, earning their 00 status in the first-ever James Bond origin story," the developer stated about the game's premise.

IO Interactive studio head Hakan Abrak shared insights with IGN last October about crafting this fresh origin story. "What excites us most is creating an original narrative—not just adapting an existing film," he explained.

"We're building a foundational story that could potentially launch a major trilogy. Just as importantly, we're introducing a new Bond—one we've designed specifically for gamers. It's thrilling to honor the franchise's legacy while developing a younger, more interactive Bond that players can grow with and make their own."
