Exciting news for fans of the Pokémon TCG Pocket! The game is set to receive a dazzling update with the introduction of Shiny Pokémon, thanks to the upcoming Shining Revelry expansion. The Pokémon Company has announced that these shimmering versions of your favorite Pokémon cards will add an extra layer of excitement and collectibility to the digital card game.

When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Mark your calendars for March 27th, 2025, as that's when the Shining Revelry expansion will launch. This update promises over 110 new cards, including Shiny versions of beloved Pokémon such as Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. The digital format will enhance the experience by making these cards shimmer when tilted, adding a dynamic visual flair. Additionally, starting April 1st, you can acquire a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder.

Beyond Shiny Pokémon, the expansion will also introduce characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, featuring cards with Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono. From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available, offering players a chance to earn a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks.

Shiny Pokémon have a storied history in the Pokémon TCG, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation. The Hidden Fates set later set the standard for modern Shiny cards with its extensive Shiny Vault.
