Niantic's Sunkissed Shores event, running August 25-31, brings Paldea's massive Dondozo to Pokémon Go - appearing in raids and encounters with immediate Shiny potential.
During Sunkissed Shores, trainers can catch Dondozo while earning double XP from raid victories. Beach-themed spawns include increased appearances of Psyduck, Shellder, Marill, Shuckle, Wingull, and Lechonk, with rare sightings of all four Oricorio styles and Alolan Exeggutor.
Regional Tatsugiri forms headline 1-Star Raids: Curly (Europe), Droopy (Americas), and Stretchy (Asia-Pacific) alongside visor Slakoth. Dondozo joins Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak as potential Shiny catches in 3-Star Raids. Check August's raid schedule to optimize your hunting strategy.

Complete Field Research for event Pokémon encounters, while two Timed Research options offer additional challenges. The free track provides 10,000 XP and 7,000 Stardust, while the $1.99 premium version includes battle passes and encounters with visor Slakoth/Dondozo.
