The Pokémon Company has exciting news for fans: a Pokémon Presents event is scheduled to deliver updates on the beloved franchise next week, in celebration of Pokémon Day. Announced via X/Twitter, the event is set for February 27, 2025, and will be available to watch live on the Pokémon YouTube channel at 6am Pacific / 9am Eastern / 2pm UK.
While the exact content of the event remains a mystery, Pokémon enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating news about the next mainline Pokémon game, which has yet to be officially announced. The Pokémon Company has already unveiled a spin-off, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, slated for release in 2025, but details about the next generation of Pokémon are still under wraps.
These Pokémon Presents events typically cover a wide range of updates across the franchise's various ongoing games, including Pokémon Unite, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Masters EX. Fans can also expect to hear more about the recently launched Pokémon TCG Pocket, as well as developments in the physical Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Last year's Pokémon Presents event, held around the same time, announced the new Legends game, Tera Raid Battle events for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and updates on the Pokémon Trading Card Game's mobile version, among other news. Notably, 2024 marked the first year since 2015 without a major Pokémon game release and featured only one Pokémon Presents event, diverging from the usual multiple events in past years.
