What’s the Premise of A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999?
As the title suggests, A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999 takes you back to the year 1999, a nostalgic era that Littoral Games specializes in. The game's storyline revolves around reliving the last day of 1999 in a time-loop narrative puzzle. You play as an elementary schoolboy caught in a time loop reminiscent of Groundhog Day.
The game features seven time segments, eleven main characters, twenty event cards, and one free DLC. On the day you're stuck—December 31st, 1999—you uncover secrets about your classmates, friends, and family while striving to help everyone experience their 'perfect day.'
Repeat, Revisit, and Rewrite
The core of A Perfect Day focuses on memories, regrets, and the choices you make. You have the opportunity to revisit childhood friendships, delve into the lives of your young parents, and make decisions that significantly shape the narrative. The story follows an interconnected structure, allowing for different outcomes as you repeat the same day.
The game also includes several mini-games that capture the essence of 90s gaming, such as a Mini 4WD race, a Gamicom console, and an arcade. With its interactive storytelling and nostalgic visuals, A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999 is definitely worth exploring.
