Krafton and Pocket Pair are joining forces to bring a mobile version of Palworld to players worldwide. Krafton, known for PUBG, is lending its expertise to adapt the monster-catching game for mobile devices. This collaboration will expand the Palworld IP beyond its existing platforms.
While details remain scarce, the mobile version is currently under development by PUBG Studios, a Krafton subsidiary. The original Palworld game launched on Xbox and Steam in January, later arriving on PlayStation 5 (excluding Japan). The delayed Japanese PS5 release is possibly linked to an ongoing lawsuit filed by Nintendo, alleging patent infringement concerning the mechanics of capturing Pals (similar to Pokémon). Pocket Pair denies any knowledge of specific patent violations.
Krafton's involvement is strategic, given Pocket Pair's current focus on the original game's development. However, the mobile project is likely in its early stages. Further information, such as whether the mobile version will be a direct port or a modified experience, is eagerly awaited. In the meantime, interested players can explore the game's official Steam page for details on gameplay and features.
