Dead by Daylight and Nyavght of the Living Cat Collab Reveal

During IGN Live, we exclusively unveil the first two minutes of Crunchyroll's 'Nyaight of the Living Cat' anime, which are both terrifying and adorable. and we announce that the series will receive its own Dead by Daylight in-game collection collaboration.

The first two minutes, available below, introduce the characters and this horrifying yet oddly cute world. As the characters attempt to flee a dark mass in the shadows, it is revealed that they are being chased by a horde of adorable cats.

When a hero falls and is caught by the horde, instead of being eaten or mauled as in a zombie apocalypse, he is showered with kisses. Unfortunately, these kisses and even a simple touch from the cats transform him into a cat.

Regarding the Dead by Daylight collaboration, no further details are available yet, but fans will soon learn what cuddly terrors will join Behaviour Interactive's game, as details will be revealed in the near future.

Nyaight of the Living Cat will premiere in Japan on TV Tokyo and other networks, with Crunchyroll simulcasting the series in the U.S. and other regions on July 6, 2025.

For the uninitiated, Nyaight of the Living Cat originated as a Japanese manga series written by Hawkman and illustrated by Mecha-Roots. In this world, a mysterious virus turns anyone who contacts a cat into a cat. The protagonist, Kunagi, must resist the urge to cuddle these adorable kittens to survive.
