Nintendo Today is the latest offering from the creators of Super Mario Bros., designed to deliver Nintendo news straight to fans in a more direct and engaging manner than ever before. The announcement came as a surprise from video game icon Shigeru Miyamoto during the March 2025 Nintendo Direct. This new app is now available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, bringing with it a host of features tailored for avid Nintendo enthusiasts.

Serving as a comprehensive hub, Nintendo Today functions as a daily calendar and news platform, ensuring that players receive timely updates on all things Nintendo. PlayThe app goes beyond typical news updates by providing a more intimate connection with fans. It encourages daily engagement, even outside of major announcements, through a dynamic feed featuring beloved characters from franchises like Mario, Pikmin, and Animal Crossing. These characters greet users each day, enhancing the experience with not just news, but also themed content. Examples showcased during the Nintendo Direct include the Pikmin 4 comic titled "Too Stuck to Pluck" and "Pearls of Wisdom" from Animal Crossing's Pascal.
