A The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild speedrunner conquered the Nintendo Switch 2 version at Japan's Nintendo Switch 2 Experience event, completing it within the strict 10-minute playtime limit.
As reported by VGC, Japanese creator Ikaboze achieved this feat using an unfamiliar save file with randomized equipment. Choosing ultimate challenge mode, he decided to "defeat Ganon completely naked with no gear." Loading directly into the final boss battle, he eliminated Ganon in just seven minutes, earning spontaneous cheers from spectators.

The achievement was particularly remarkable considering Ikaboze used new controller hardware and played without game audio amid the noisy convention hall.
"The crowd size shocked me," he remarked. "Even staff members were recording on their phones. Since I was the first to complete the Breath of the Wild demo, they personally congratulated me."
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition features upgraded graphics and performance, introduces achievements, and supports the new "Zelda Notes" service through Nintendo Switch Online. While existing Switch owners won't receive these enhancements automatically, a $10 "upgrade pack" becomes available. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers get both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs included.
