Switch 2 Release Date Officially Announced in Nintendo Direct

The Nintendo Switch 2 finally has an official release date: June 5, 2025.

Nintendo also revealed the starting price for the Switch 2 will be $449.99.

Special Bundle Available at Launch

For $499.99, gamers can purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle, which includes:

  • The console system
  • A digital download code for Mario Kart World

The standalone version of Mario Kart World retails for $79.99, making this the most expensive first-party Nintendo game to date.

Nintendo President Comments on Next-Gen Console

"Nintendo Switch 2 represents the evolution of our hybrid gaming concept after eight years of innovation with the original Switch," stated Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa.
