Square Enix Announced NieR 15th Anniversary Special Novel
Square Enix kicked off the NieR 15th Anniversary festivities with a bang, unveiling a range of exciting projects and events. During the livestream on April 19, they announced the launch of an online special novel titled [U]ndecided Option. This novel will be released in three parts, with the first part already available and the subsequent parts set to be released on April 25 and May 2. The novel follows the story of a 'servant' who encounters a mysterious boy and embarks on a journey guided by him.
To centralize all the anniversary content, Square Enix also launched a dedicated 15th Anniversary website, which will serve as the hub for the online novel and other related projects and events.
Exhibition, Concerts, Merchandise, and More
Square Enix is set to host an exhibition at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Japan, showcasing new artwork featuring the protagonists from Replicant, Automata, and Re[in]carnation. Stay tuned for more details on tickets and other information.
Music lovers can look forward to additional performances at the NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024, scheduled in Osaka on July 25 and 26, and in Tokyo on August 2 and 3. Tickets are available through a lottery system, with more details on the concert's official website.

Re[in]carnation Developer Blog
Starting April 28, NieR Re[in]carnation, the franchise's first mobile title, will launch a monthly developer blog series, providing insights into the game's creation process. The game, which debuted in January 2021, was unfortunately shut down in April 2024 due to monetization challenges. The sudden introduction of a developer blog has sparked speculation among fans about a potential sequel or remake, though no official announcements have been made yet.
