If you're in the market for one of the latest Nvidia Blackwell graphics cards and want to avoid paying exorbitant markups, turning to the card manufacturers themselves can be a smart move. MSI, a leading AIB partner of Nvidia, sells its products directly through its subsidiary brand "Raideals" on the Walmart online marketplace. You can find a range of cards from the budget-friendly 5060 Ti to the high-end 5080, often at some of the lowest prices available online.
It's important to note that even though a card is sold at "list price," it might not align with Nvidia's suggested launch price. For instance, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB launched at $429, but MSI's cheapest version is listed at $609. This difference can be attributed to enhanced build quality, features such as superior cooling systems and out-of-the-box overclocking, as well as manufacturer markups. Unfortunately, these markups are now commonplace unless you're lucky enough to snag an Nvidia Founder's Edition card.

"Easily able to handle most AAA games at 1080p with all the eye candy turned up, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is a great mid-range graphics card. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from the 8GB version."

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Review by Jacqueline Thomas
"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 is complicated. It does what it says on the tin: play games at 1440p at a high frame rate. But the problem is that it doesn’t necessarily do that better than the RTX 4070 Super, or any other graphics card in this price range. It does add Multi Frame Generation, which is nice to have for anyone with a high-refresh monitor, but that alone isn’t worth the upgrade."

"For the money, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is simply the best 4K graphics card for most people. It’s not only significantly faster than its predecessor, but DLSS 4 and multi frame generation will keep it relevant for years."

"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 is an extremely competent 4K graphics card for its price. It’s just not quite the performance uplift that hardcore enthusiasts who upgrade every generation are going to want to see."
If you're thinking of a prebuilt PC, consider Alienware
If the idea of building your own PC doesn't appeal to you, opting for a prebuilt system might be the way to go. Alienware offers competitive pricing on select RTX 50 series gaming PCs, which come with a one-year warranty and the option to extend it. Given the current high markups on graphics cards, buying a prebuilt PC can often be more cost-effective than going the DIY route.
