Excitement is brewing in the world of Monster Hunter Now, as Niantic introduces a thrilling new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in its testing phase, and Niantic is eager to gather player feedback to perfect it before its official launch.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
The testing for Monster Outbreaks is scheduled from April 26th to 27th. The event will occur twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, running from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., according to your local time. During these specific hours, certain locations on the map will transform into outbreak points, teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. The challenge? Collaborate with other players to take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak point within the one-hour window. Note that this count is specific to each location and not a global total.
To participate, you must be at least HR 11. Remember, the party feature won’t be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points will be clearly marked with a special icon on the map, and by tapping on them, you can access detailed information. A sign-up roster at each spot allows you to coordinate your hunting times with other players.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of the slay count are intriguing. If you team up with three other hunters and successfully take down a single Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the goal of 100. Should your group reach this target before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour, as they will be the only monsters spawning during these outbreaks.
There are enticing rewards awaiting those who successfully complete the challenge. Achieving the 100-monster goal earns your group 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, if you utilize the sign-up roster, you can earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
