Following one of the most exhilarating finishes at the 2024 Esports World Cup, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) is set to make a thrilling return to Riyadh in July 2025. Last year's tournament witnessed a historic upset when Smart Omega Empress dethroned the long-reigning Team Vitality in the Grand Final, ending their impressive three-year, 24-tournament winning streak.
The stakes are higher than ever for MWI 2025, with 16 of the world's top all-women MLBB teams competing for glory and a record-breaking prize pool. The event will take place from July 15th to 19th and will begin with a double-elimination Group Stage, featuring all 16 qualified teams.
The top eight teams will advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket, where they will vie for a share of the $550,000 prize pool, along with a $10,000 MVP bonus for the tournament's standout performer.
This year's qualification process has been more inclusive, drawing in elite talent from various regions. Teams such as DreamMax from the MWI 2025 LATAM Qualifiers, CFU Serendipity from Queen Legends Season 1, NAVI MY from the MYSG Qualifier, and Falcons Vega MENA from the Carry1st Africa Cup have already secured their spots. Additional slots will be filled through ongoing regional events like BOG Season 1, Athena League, and Lady MVP Season 6, with further qualifiers from China, North America, Mekong, Mongolia, and Türkiye set to conclude soon.
MWI 2025 is part of the broader Esports World Cup 2025, which brings together top clubs from multiple titles in a unique cross-game competition format. As the defending champions, Smart Omega Empress will face fierce competition from teams around the globe, making their title defense anything but certain.
