Actress Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her roles in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Gossip Girl," has passed away at age 39, as reported by The Post.
Law enforcement authorities state that Trachtenberg's death is not considered suspicious and is not under investigation.
According to ABC News, her mother discovered Trachtenberg deceased in her New York City apartment near Columbus Circle this past Wednesday. It was also reported that Trachtenberg recently had a liver transplant and may have been suffering from related complications.
ABC News further indicated that she is believed to have died of natural causes, with no signs of foul play. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the precise cause and manner of death.

Trachtenberg began her acting career at age nine, appearing in the Nickelodeon series "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" during the 1990s, before making her film debut in 1996's "Harriet the Spy."
She gained widespread recognition playing Dawn Summers, the younger sister of Sarah Michelle Gellar's character, on the hit teen drama "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" from 2000 until the series concluded in 2003. She also starred as Jenny in the 2004 teen comedy "EuroTrip," and as Casey Carlyle in the 2005 Disney film "Ice Princess."
More recently, Trachtenberg portrayed Georgina Sparks in the popular teen drama "Gossip Girl" from 2007 to 2012, and later reprised the role in the second season of the HBO Max revival series.
