If you stumble upon a deck during your contract, it's wise to use them in a secure spot on the map, such as near a hiding place or the entrance. This precaution is crucial, especially if you draw a perilous card like Death, as it increases your chances of escape.
Each Tarot Card has a unique ability that activates instantly upon use. However, you might draw The Fool, which mimics another card before revealing itself and having no effect. You can draw up to 10 cards from the deck, and doing so won't affect your sanity. Duplicates are possible, and each duplicate will trigger the same effect as its original.
