Kabam is set to enhance Marvel Contest of Champions with significant updates, launching the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing fresh Champions, and unveiling a new character type called Eidols. This month also spotlights the game's formidable female characters, allowing players to have a say in an upcoming Champion rework.
Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest Champions entering The Contest, each bringing unique powers and a compelling new narrative. Jean Grey joins the roster on March 13th, followed by Bastion on March 27th. Before their arrival, the Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, featuring Jean Grey and the X-Men battling against dangerous variants in an exciting new quest.
The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions continues to evolve with the addition of more Eidols, furthering the Founders' storyline. The first Eidol, Isophyne, was introduced in December 2024, and throughout 2025, three more Eidols will be unveiled, each with a unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, will debut on March 5th and be available until June 4th.
Lumatrix, crafted by The Founders, is a master infiltrator designed for espionage, sabotage, and targeted assassinations with unmatched precision. Made of ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix boasts exceptional light manipulation abilities. While it dazzles with its performance, it remains a lethal weapon capable of eliminating threats while staying concealed.

March also celebrates the powerful women of The Contest. Kabam has teamed up with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. Players can influence which Champion will be reworked in 2025 by completing Solo Objectives and participating in Realm Events.
