Puella Madoka Magica Magia Exedra (we'll shorten that to Exedra from now on) has surpassed half a million pre-registrations, and is adding a new character: the fan-favorite Ren Isuzu.
This 3D turn-based RPG, based on the popular anime series, is set for imminent mobile release. The inclusion of Ren, a shy yet powerful magical girl whose bonds with others fuel her strength, is a significant addition, especially considering the pre-registration campaign only promised existing character fan kits (wallpapers, etc.).
The Magical Girl Life: Not So Easy
It's somewhat ironic that Puella Madoka Magica, renowned for its intelligent and often subversive take on the magical girl trope, has become synonymous with extensive franchising and merchandising. However, this is hardly surprising given its immense domestic and international popularity.
Magia Exedra's shift to a fully 3D, effects-laden battle system, a departure from earlier 2D iterations, is noteworthy. Fans captivated by the original series' animation will find Exedra's visuals equally impressive.
