Kaiju No. 8 The Game has kicked off pre-registration for Android users worldwide. Akatsuki Games unveiled the initial trailer in June 2024, marking a significant update after nearly a year of silence. The popular manga and anime adaptation is now set to arrive on mobile and PC platforms soon.

The app store lists August 31, 2025, as the official release date. This collaboration between Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G. aims to capture the essence of Naoya Matsumoto’s universe.

In terms of gameplay, Kaiju No. 8 The Game blends the anime’s cinematic flair with strategic turn-based combat. Players must target a Kaiju’s core to unleash devastating attacks.

Control iconic characters like Mina Ashiro, Soshiro Hoshina, and Kikoru Shinomiya, each featuring detailed 3D models and their signature moves from the series.

While the game revisits major story arcs, it also introduces original narratives, expanding the Kaiju No. 8 universe beyond Kafka Hibino’s journey.
