The Esports World Cup 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark event for mobile gaming. With PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang already confirmed, this summer's competition in Riyadh features elite talent and substantial prize pools. Now, Honor of Kings enters the arena with ambitious plans.

Through a three-year partnership with EWC, the Honor of Kings World Cup returns featuring a $3 million prize pool and an expanded format welcoming additional teams and intensified competition. The tournament begins on July 15th and continues through the 26th, showcasing 18 international teams including dominant squads from the King Pro League and Asian Champions League.

The competition starts with 16 teams in the Group Stage, divided into four double-elimination brackets. Only the leading team from each group secures direct advancement to the Playoffs, while runners-up compete in a Last Chance bracket for the remaining two positions.

Group stage matches utilize best-of-three and best-of-five formats, escalating to the Playoffs where KPL and ACL champions await. The final stage on August 16th employs a best-of-seven structure, complete with a dedicated third-place match.

Qualification tournaments are currently progressing across multiple regions. Southeast Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern leagues will send their champion teams to Riyadh, with organizations from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and beyond securing their places throughout May and June.
