Heavy Metal, one of the most iconic anthology magazines in the world of comics, is set to make a triumphant return to comic book stores. The excitement is palpable following a highly successful crowdfunding campaign, and fans can mark their calendars for the launch of the new volume of Heavy Metal on Wednesday, April 30.

Heavy Metal #1 is set to impress with a print run of 73,000 copies, marking it as the most heavily printed issue of the series in several decades. Priced at $14.99, this issue spans an impressive 232 pages of gripping content.

You can grab Heavy Metal #1 at your local comic shop starting April 30, with newsstands following on May 13. The series will be released quarterly, although the publisher has hinted at the possibility of a more frequent schedule should demand warrant it.
