Developer Sway State Games has unveiled their latest project, Into a Hearth Yonder, a cozy creature-collecting MMO-lite designed for PC, set to release next year. This game promises a delightfully colorful art style that invites players into the enchanting world of Viteria.
In Into a Hearth Yonder, players can embark on adventures either solo or with friends, accompanied by their loyal automata companions. These charming, Tamagotchi-like creatures not only add to the joy of collecting and nurturing them but also enhance various gameplay aspects such as combat, farming, fishing, mining, and crafting. According to Sway State studio head Chris O'Kelly, "We thought it would be fun to embody player stats and skills as cute, Tamagotchi-like automata. You take joy in collecting and caring for them, and in return, they enhance your exploration of Viteria, improve your quality of life, and empower you to lean fully into your favorite playstyle."

O'Kelly further described the game's approach, stating, "We aimed to lay out a cozy table of adventure, to explore at your own pace, with plenty of building, crafting, exploration, magic. 'Survival' but with less struggle - just a worry-free deceleration, really." This ethos suggests a game focused on relaxation and enjoyment without the typical survival game pressures.
The development team behind Into a Hearth Yonder boasts experience from notable titles such as Divinity: Original Sin, Dying Light 2, Harold Halibut, and Horizon: Call of the Mountain. If you're intrigued by this upcoming title, you can add Into a Hearth Yonder to your wishlist on Steam.
