Gunblade, Bridge Map Unveiled in Rivals Update 9 News - Latest Updates and Information

Roblox's popular first-person shooter PvP experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the exciting Gunblade weapon and the Bridge map.

Developer Nosniy Games detailed these additions in today's patch notes, alongside minor adjustments. While a smaller update than some recent releases, it still offers significant new content.

The Gunblade, a versatile combination rifle and blade, is a natural fit for Rivals' fast-paced gameplay. Its dual functionality—ranged attacks and close-quarters melee—should prove highly effective, particularly on the new Bridge map. This Seoul-based arena, created by @GreatGuyBoom, is a compact, concrete battleground emphasizing close-quarters combat.

Rivals Update 9 introduces the Gunblade to the Roblox FPS arsenal.

This update prioritizes the new map and weapon, foregoing bug fixes, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements for now. Minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, along with renaming some weapons (Hexxed to Vexed), were included. Nosniy assures players that these elements will be addressed in the next major update, which will also include the highly anticipated Ranked mode.

The developers stated, "We value your feedback and assure you that all necessary improvements will be implemented in time for the Ranked update."

The Winter Spotlight challenges have been replaced with new tasks on the Bridge map, rewarding players with keys and a limited-time Bungeoppang charm.

OTHER

Minor adjustments to Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins. The Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed, respectively.

"We hope you enjoy this new map celebrating our Korean community! Our next major update will feature the Ranked mode. We deliberately omitted bug fixes and other improvements this time, focusing on the new content. All necessary changes will be made before Ranked launches!"
