Guide: Completing Canker Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the "Canker" side quest is an engaging early-game mission that you can unlock after completing "The Jaunt." This quest not only adds to your adventure but also rewards you with a mace or extra Groschen. Here's a detailed guide on how to successfully complete "Canker."

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" quest, you need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. An ideal time to pick up this quest is during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes. You can talk to Gules while he's enjoying a drink before the ceremony begins. Alternatively, if you visit Semine earlier, you can find Gules on patrol. During your chat, inquire about his past association with bandits and offer your assistance in eliminating the remnants of his former crew. Canker, one of these ex-bandits, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Upon accepting the quest, Canker's location is marked on your map, north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared for potential ambushes by bandits along the way. You can choose to stealthily avoid them, engage in combat, or simply flee. While these encounters aren't overly challenging, conserving health is crucial as you'll soon face more combat at the bandit camp.

The bandit camp is nestled in the mountainous terrain, easily overlooked as it requires navigating through a narrow gap, reminiscent of accessing the Hermit's house in the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Equip yourself adequately before entering, as you'll confront several bandits, including Canker himself.

The order in which you take down the bandits can affect their behavior; some may flee. However, it's essential to defeat most of them. Fortunately, Canker remains steadfast, ensuring you can fulfill the quest's requirement to kill him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After dispatching Canker and his companions, loot his body to obtain the Light Mace, which serves as proof of your success. Feel free to take any other items of interest from him as well. Once you've collected the necessary loot, head back to Gules to complete the "Canker" quest.

After successfully concluding the "Canker" quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can proceed with the next mission involving Gules' former bandit associates. Once the day has passed, speak with Gules again to initiate the "Handsome Charlie" quest.
