GTA 6 Second Trailer Out Now!
Meet Jason and Lucia
Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) has been a hot topic since Rockstar Games announced its release delay to next year. To keep the buzz alive, the studio released the second trailer on May 6, giving fans a deeper look into the next-gen Vice City and its residents.
The trailer sheds light on the game’s two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The official GTA 6 website details their backgrounds and motivations as they navigate the bustling world of Vice City.
The story synopsis reads, "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."
According to the website, Jason is a former soldier in the Army, trying to escape his troubled past. However, he ends up in Leonida Keys, working for local drug runners. His meeting with Lucia might be the best or worst thing to happen to him, and he hopes it turns out for the best.
Lucia, on the other hand, was taught to fight by her father from a young age. Her rough upbringing led her to spend time in Leonida Penitentiary. Upon release, she vowed to make only smart moves to provide her mother with the life they had always dreamed of in Liberty City.
Fresh out of prison, Lucia aims to change her luck, and a life with Jason could be her ticket out. Players will follow Lucia and Jason’s journey alongside Vice City's colorful cast that inhabits the sunny Leonida Keys.
A Conspiracy Theorist, Local Vice City Legend, Seasoned Bank Robber, and More
In addition to the protagonists, Rockstar Games introduced other key characters in the game. Jason's friend, Cal Hampton, is a conspiracy theorist who believes everything he reads online. Despite his casual paranoia, he enjoys life in the Keys and supports Jason in his ambitious plans.
Boobie Ike, a local legend, turned his street life into a legitimate empire, owning real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. The game will delve into the music industry, featuring characters like Dre’Quan and the music duo Real Dimez.
On the criminal side, Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber always ready to take risks for big rewards. Brian Heder, a classic drug runner operating in the Keys, allows Jason to live rent-free in one of his properties in exchange for help with local shakedowns.
With these characters and more featured in the trailer, GTA 6 showcases the diverse personalities that inhabit the sunny side of Vice City.
