The game doesn't let you simply equip items; you must collect materials like plants, flowers, animal wool, and feathers. Here's how to maximize your gathering efficiency:

Collect Everything: Gather every available resource. Even seemingly insignificant items can prove crucial later.

Animal Grooming: Use a special grooming outfit (accessed by pressing Tab and selecting the brush icon) to collect wool and feathers from animals.

Approach animals cautiously and hold the right mouse button until a blue brush icon appears above them. This prevents them from fleeing. Some animals, like village dogs, are easier to approach.
