Fortnite Hunters has launched Chapter 6 with an exhilarating array of new features, including a vast map to explore, the introduction of powerful Oni Masks and Typhoon Blades, and intense boss battles. As the season unfolds, more content is being added, enriching the game with unique items and additional features.
With Winterfest now behind us, Fortnite Hunters has rolled out its first major update, reintroducing some fan-favorite items from Chapter 4. While the Kinetic Blade has caught the attention of many, the Lock On Pistol is quickly becoming a must-have for players looking to improve their aim.
How To Get The Lock On Pistol
Obtaining the Lock On Pistol in Fortnite is straightforward, as it can be found as floor loot or within chests. Given its Rare rarity, players should have a good chance of encountering it. However, since finding it this way can be somewhat unpredictable, it's advisable to open as many Chests as possible to increase your odds.
Alternatively, you can try your luck at Fishing Spots using a Fishing Rod. These spots are known to yield a higher chance of Rare weapons, making them a promising method to secure the Lock On Pistol.
How To Use The Lock On Pistol
The Lock On Pistol operates much like other semi-automatic pistols in Fortnite, delivering 25 damage per shot. Its unique selling point is the Lock-On feature. When aiming down sights, a circle appears around your reticle. If an enemy is within this circle, every bullet you fire will hit the target, as long as they're not behind cover.
This feature is effective against players gliding or hiding in bushes, but remember, it has a limited range of 50 meters, so you'll need to stay close to your targets. While the pistol can be fired from the hip for a more rapid-fire approach, doing so won't activate the Lock-On feature, reducing its effectiveness.
Here's a quick overview of the Lock On Pistol's stats:
Damage | Fire Rate | Magazine Size | Reload Time |
---|---|---|---|
25 | 15 | 12 | 1.76s |
