Fortnite's Master Chief Returns! Grab the Legendary Spartan Before He's Gone
Legendary skins in Fortnite are fleeting; they vanish from the Item Shop, sometimes for years. But the wait is over for Master Chief! After a long absence (last seen June 3, 2022), the Halo hero has returned as a Christmas surprise on December 23, 2024.

Getting Master Chief in Fortnite
The Master Chief outfit is available for 1,500 V-Bucks in the Fortnite Item Shop (as of December 23, 7 PM ET). This purchase includes the iconic Halo Infinite armor and the free Battle Legend Back Bling. While a LEGO style isn't currently available, you can also grab additional Halo-themed items individually or as part of the bundle:

Unlocking Matte Black Master Chief
Good news! Epic Games has confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Matte Black Master Chief style is still unlockable. To get it, simply purchase the Master Chief outfit and then play a single match of Fortnite Battle Royale on an Xbox Series X|S. Previous statements suggesting this style was no longer available have been corrected.
