Fortnite's Surprise Paradigm Skin Return: A Glitch That Became a Gift
The Fortnite community was buzzing on August 6th when the highly sought-after Paradigm skin unexpectedly reappeared in the in-game item shop. This exclusive skin, originally a limited-time offering from Chapter 1 Season X, hadn't been seen for five years.
Epic Games initially attributed the skin's return to a technical error, promising to remove it from players' inventories and provide refunds. However, a significant player outcry prompted a swift change of heart.
Within two hours, Fortnite reversed course, announcing via Twitter that players who purchased the Paradigm skin during the accidental re-release could keep it. The developer accepted responsibility for the error, stating, "Bought Paradigm tonight? You can keep her. Her accidental return to the Shop is on us... so if you purchased The Paradigm during this evening's rotation, you can keep this Outfit and we'll refund your V-Bucks soon-ish."
