Finn Jones Acknowledges Iron Fist Critiques, Determined to Prove Critics Wrong

Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix to the MCU as Daredevil has sparked speculation about the potential return of other Defenders characters. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, has expressed his eagerness to reprise his role, stating, "I’m here and I’m ready." Jones last played Danny Rand in Season 2 of the Iron Fist Netflix series and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).

Despite Jones' enthusiasm, his portrayal of Iron Fist received mixed reviews from fans compared to other Defenders characters. This has led to uncertainty about whether Marvel would include Iron Fist in future MCU plans. However, the positive reception to Daredevil's integration into the MCU has fueled hopes for a revival of The Defenders saga, with recent reports suggesting Marvel is "exploring" the possibility.

At the LaConve anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism of his Iron Fist portrayal. He acknowledged the fans' divided opinions, saying, "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f\*\*\*ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again continues the narrative from the Netflix series, which was part of a smaller Marvel universe that also included Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.
