Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis: Two-Year Milestone

• Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis launches a special second-anniversary event

It's uncommon, but occasionally a single title within a long-standing series evolves into its own mini-franchise. This is true for many JRPGs, like Persona 5, or the reason we're here today: Final Fantasy VII. Among its many offshoots, the popular mobile RPG Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is now marking its second year!

To celebrate, Square Enix is running a unique in-game event. Interestingly, it connects to another beloved spin-off: the fan-favorite CGI movie, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Running until October 22nd, the event lets players collect gear and rewards themed around the film.

Perhaps the most significant update is the arrival of Sephiroth himself. This isn't the newer, more relaxed iteration. No, this is the full-powered, original Sephiroth making his debut in Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis.

Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie are also receiving a range of new Advent Children-inspired outfits, alongside some Kadaj-themed gear for Young Sephiroth. 

The currently available rewards include a 2nd Anniversary Gear Voucher, redeemable for one gear piece of your choice (with some restrictions—crossover and limited-edition gear are excluded). Players can also obtain Draw Ticket x200, Reawakened: Limit Break Medals x3, Stamina Tonic x100, a Memoria of 2nd Anniversary, and other login bonuses.

What is a Memoria? It's a new equipable item that attaches to a party member, boosting their stats and unlocking a new move called an M. Ability.
