The ongoing informal competition among gacha games continues to intensify, with recent financial data from February 2025 revealing a dip in revenue for some of the genre's top titles. Enthusiasts of gacha games are keenly observing these financial trends, as new statistics shed light on the performance of these games during this period.
miHoYo, known as HoYoverse, has three major projects that all saw a decline in revenue during February 2025. Honkai Star Rail, which secured the fourth position, experienced a decrease from $50.8 million to $46.5 million. Genshin Impact, taking the sixth spot, saw a significant drop from over $99 million to $26.3 million, following a previous spike attributed to the Mavuika banner event. Zenless Zone Zero ranked eighth, with its revenue declining from $26.3 million to $17.9 million. However, fans can anticipate a potential increase in earnings as upcoming updates featuring new characters are scheduled for release in Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and Honkai Star Rail.
In February 2025, Pokemon TCG Pocket emerged as the leading gacha game, generating $79 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace came in second with $49.5 million, while Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle rounded out the top three, earning $47 million.
