Players embody Psaro, a young man cursed by his father, the Master of Monsterkind, rendering him incapable of harming monsters. To lift this curse, Psaro embarks on a quest to become a Monster Wrangler, teaming up with creatures to ascend the ranks and potentially claim his father's title. Fans of Dragon Quest IV will recognize Psaro as the villain; however, this game unveils his story from his own viewpoint.
The adventure unfolds in Nadiria, a world where dynamic weather and seasonal changes significantly impact gameplay. Recruit and train over 500 unique monsters, combining them to create even more powerful allies. The diverse monster roster, ranging from adorable creatures to bizarre behemoths, is heavily influenced by weather patterns, ensuring constant discovery.
