Marking the first new 3D Donkey Kong game since the 1999 N64 classic Donkey Kong 64, Donkey Kong Bananza introduces a fresh gameplay mechanic: a digging ability that lets Donkey Kong smash through the ground or cliff sides. While much of the gameplay appears to be set underground, players will also explore a variety of surface environments, from forests and canyons to lagoons and frozen tundras.
