Dominion App Celebrates Anniversary with New Update

Author : Matthew Update:Apr 26,2025

It's fascinating how some pioneers in the gaming world can remain relatively under the radar despite their significant contributions. Take Dominion, for instance, the medieval-themed deck builder that essentially kickstarted the genre. Now, its mobile version is celebrating with a major anniversary update that introduces some exciting digital-exclusive features!

Until now, Dominion's mobile app has been a faithful adaptation of the classic board game. But the new update introduces a game-changing addition: Campaigns. As the name suggests, these allow you to engage in single-player, linked campaigns where you can battle AI opponents, much like in other popular games.

These Campaigns come in two distinct varieties. The first, the Expansion Campaigns, each focus on the unique mechanics introduced in the board game's expansions. This provides an excellent way to delve deeper into the game's various elements. On the other hand, the Grand Campaign, reminiscent of what Total War fans might be familiar with, offers a randomized and infinitely replayable experience centered around a singular theme.

Dominion's latest update not only introduces new gameplay elements but also promises long-term support. This means that even if you don't have friends to play the traditional board game with, you can still enjoy extended campaign-level play on your own terms!

It's particularly uplifting to see a niche product like Dominion continue to be supported and expanded. Here's hoping for more exciting additions to its already robust lineup of expansions and features in the near future!
