New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile!
Pokémon Sleep players have a treat in store! As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend. This guide explains how to add these icy newcomers to your team.
Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile
Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, you might expect Sneasel and Weavile in a snowy location. In Pokémon Sleep, however, they're classified as Dark types (single typing in this game) and can be found at Snowdrop Tundra. Conveniently, they also appear on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, regardless of island progress. Use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch islands if needed.
Sleep Types and Evolution
Both Sneasel and Weavile share the Dozing sleep type. Maximize your chances of encountering them by ensuring your sleep type matches. Sneasel is easier to find during Sleep Research and evolves into Weavile using 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to find Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.
Are They Worth It?
Sneasel's value lies in its berry-gathering capabilities (Wiki Berries) and its contribution to "Extra Tasty" dishes. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable addition to your Snowdrop Tundra team.
